The layout image should help you build the dungeon. I have special items marked including allies, lvl 6 bosses, activated items, chests, etc. The layout schematic is an example of what I use to build the dungeon and cross off tiles as they are placed. The stone dwarf is the only custom villain i created to spawn at the dwarven statues. The map is printed and given to the hero who retrieves the map item - it is very generic. Green is some bit of lore that can be used to explain the items, and help players figure out specifics when role playing. The rules doc contains all the rules with the option to add a little DM role playing by keeping the red things secret from the players. Details to come in the next edit as I compile all my resources. Still haven't encountered a level 6 villain yet: but the group was one tile away before they changed direction! The second night went a lot better after the villains, it is getting more interesting and more difficult for sure. 3/4 of the heroes are level 4 so we started pulling level 5 villains from the bowl. Play time ~3 hrs.Įdit2: we encountered another 30 tiles and now are about 50%. All 4 level 6 villains are pre-positioned the level 5's get mixed into the monster bowl at a certain character level.Įdit: there are 124 tiles: we encountered about 30 on our first night. I imagined up an adventure utilizing almost every piece of every expansion, along with some custom house rules and a narrative introduction based off of D&D lore I found. Just last night, I invited 3 friends over for the first of what should be 4 nights of exploring. I immediately set out to get all the expansions. After a couple solo experiences: I ran across this post on BGG. I played it once with some of my friends and was hooked.
